Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Administrator Anne Ferro will testify at a March 14 House hearing on progress made on implementing changes included in the 2012 surface transportation authorization act.
Ferro and the heads of other Department of Transportation agencies will speak on reforms and requirements in the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act or MAP-21. The House Highways and Transit subcommittee hearing begins at 10 a.m.
Rep. Thomas Petri (R-Wis.) — chairman of the Highways and Transit subcommittee — said in a speech in February that part of the hearings may include covering progress on finding new funding sources, such as a vehicle miles traveled tax. Click here to read more on Petri’s address.
